Facials

Read this before you come, and keep it open after.

Applies to: Signature Facial, Skin Analysis and Aftercare Facial, Charcoal and Oxygen Glow, Glass Skin, Luxe Lift, HydroLift, and other customized facials.

Before your appointment

Come with clean skin if you can. We would rather start with a bare face. It gives us a truer read on what your skin is actually doing, and it means your appointment time goes toward treatment instead of makeup removal.

If you are coming straight from work or an event, do not stress about it. We will cleanse you either way. Just know that arriving bare gets you more out of the hour.

Stop retinoids three to five days before. Retinol, tretinoin, Retin A, and prescription acne creams.

No face waxing, threading, or dermaplaning for 48 hours before.

Sunburned? Text us before you cancel. You do not automatically lose the appointment. We can usually pivot you to a calming rosacea and redness facial, which is cooling, barrier focused, and frankly what your skin wants in that moment anyway.

What we cannot do on burned skin is anything advanced. Chemical peels, microchanneling, dermaplaning, and any resurfacing treatment have to be rescheduled. Text (833) 900-9364 as soon as you know and we will figure out which way to go.

Tell us about

  • Accutane, now or in the last six to twelve months
  • Antibiotics or any medication that increases sun sensitivity
  • Cold sore history
  • Injectables in the last two weeks. Wait two weeks after tox or filler before a facial.
  • Pregnancy or nursing
  • Allergies, including to shellfish, nuts, and aspirin, since some professional products contain derivatives

Bring your questions. If you want a home care plan, book the Skin Analysis and Aftercare Facial instead. It builds in the time for it.

What to expect

Mild pinkness for a few hours. If we did extractions, those spots may stay pink or slightly raised into the next day.

After your appointment

Leave your skin alone for the rest of the day. Skip makeup if you can.

First 24 hours, avoid

  • Workouts and heavy sweating
  • Saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs
  • Swimming pools
  • Very hot showers

No retinoids, acids, scrubs, or exfoliating tools for three days.

Wear SPF every day. This is not optional and it is not just for summer. Everything we do to your skin is undone by unprotected sun.

If we did extractions or any resurfacing, you may purge between days three and seven. Congestion that was already under the surface coming up. It passes. Do not attack it.

Drink water and get some sleep. Boring advice, real effect.

Have an event coming up? Book two appointments, not one. A trial facial eight weeks out tells us how your skin responds while there is still time to adjust, then your final facial goes five to seven days before. Never the day before.

Rebook every four to six weeks. Skin turns over on roughly a 28 day cycle, and that is the rhythm that compounds results.

The part that actually decides your results

Think about your dentist.

You go in for a cleaning twice a year. Nobody believes that cleaning is what keeps their teeth healthy. It removes what you cannot reach on your own, it catches problems early, and then you go home and brush twice a day, every day, because that is the part that actually does the work.

Skin is exactly the same, and almost nobody treats it that way.

Your esthetician resets your skin. Deep cleansing, extractions, professional strength exfoliation, and corrective treatment you cannot buy or perform on yourself. That is the reset.

Your home care holds it. You see us for an hour every four to six weeks. You are on your own for the other twenty seven days, and those days are where your results are won or lost.

A great facial with a drugstore routine in between will not get you where you want to go. A great home routine with occasional professional treatment will beat that every single time. The two together is the whole point.

So ask us what to use

This is the question your esthetician most wants you to ask, and the one people are most shy about asking.

Ask at your appointment. Bring your current products, or photos of them. Tell us what you are using, what you spent, what you liked, and what is sitting unopened under your sink. We would much rather redirect you than watch you buy the wrong thing for another year.

We will not sell you a ten step routine you will not do. If three products get you there, you are getting three products. If the less expensive line is the right fit, that is what you will hear. Nobody here benefits from selling you something that does not work, because you just do not come back.

See what we carry. Shop our Square store for retail, and Circadia direct for that line. Not sure what is right for you? Ask at your appointment, or text us at (833) 900-9364 and we will tell you what fits your skin and your budget.

Results come from a series, not a single visit

One facial will make your skin look good this week. Correction, meaning pigment, texture, acne, and firmness, comes from consistent treatment over months.

That is not a sales line, it is how skin turns over. Your skin regenerates on roughly a 28 day cycle, and every meaningful change has to move through several of those cycles to hold.

This is why we build treatment plans instead of selling you a facial at a time. A series costs less per session than booking one by one, and it is the version that actually works.

See our packages and treatment series, or ask your esthetician which plan fits what you are trying to fix. If you are not sure yet, book the Skin Analysis and Aftercare Facial and we will map it out together.
