Most spas call aloe and moisturizer a "Vajacial." We don’t. Our four-tier menu starts at $85 for the basics and goes to $175 for the full clinical experience. What to do before your visit, and how to look after your skin once you leave.
Shaving disrupts the hair growth cycle and makes future waxing more painful. Stick to waxing only; your hair will get finer over time.
Your hair should be at least ¼ inch long (about a grain of rice) for the wax to grip. If you’ve been shaving, give yourself 2 to 3 weeks of growth before your first wax.
Gently exfoliate the area 24 hours before. Dead skin can prevent the wax from gripping well; exfoliating helps and prevents ingrown hairs.
Shower the day of your appointment. Don’t apply lotion, oil, or self-tanner to the area you’re waxing.
If it is safe for you, take ibuprofen 30 to 60 minutes before; check with your doctor or pharmacist first if you are not sure. Avoid caffeine; it makes you more sensitive. Schedule waxes for the week AFTER your period if you’re hormonally sensitive.

Hard wax hardens on the skin and is removed without strips, gripping mostly the hair (not the skin). It’s gentler and ideal for sensitive areas: Brazilians, bikini, face, underarms. Strip wax uses fabric strips to remove wax + hair quickly, great for legs, arms, or backs. We use whichever is right for your skin and the area.
The first time is the worst; after that, your hair grows back finer and waxing becomes much more tolerable. Hard wax + an experienced waxer + ibuprofen 30 minutes before (check with your doctor first if you are not sure it is safe for you) = a much better experience than most clients expect.
Every 4 to 6 weeks is the sweet spot. Hair needs to be at least ¼ inch to wax effectively, and waxing more frequently than 4 weeks doesn’t give enough regrowth. After 6 weeks, hair gets thicker and more resistant.

Yes, but you’ll be more sensitive. Many clients book the week after their period. If you’re on, just wear a tampon or menstrual cup; we handle the rest with discretion.
Anatomy. Brazilian (V) is for clients with a vulva. Brazilian (P) is for clients with a penis (also called men’s Brazilian or manzilian). Both fully remove hair from front to back. Technique and time differ slightly; that’s why pricing differs.
Probably some, especially in the first few weeks. The way to prevent them: exfoliate 2 to 3× per week starting 48 hours after your wax, use a Cabana Aftercare Kit, and avoid shaving between waxes. Clients who do all three rarely get ingrowns.
