SWiCH Dermal Rejuvenation
This one is different from every other treatment we do. Read all of it.
Applies to: Age Renewal SWiCH Facial, 1 hr 15 min.
This one is different. Read all of it.
SWiCH is not a traditional peel. It triggers your skin's own renewal process rather than injuring it. That means a different preparation window and a stricter set of rules than any of our other treatments.
Discomfort: minimal. You may feel brief warmth or tingling, and most clients find the treatment relaxing. Downtime: none. You may look slightly flushed for a few hours, but you can return to your day immediately.
Light flaking is possible in the days that follow, and it is normal.
Four weeks before
Stop all retinol, Retin A, tretinoin, and glycolic acids four full weeks before your treatment. Four weeks, not one. This is longer than anything else we do and it is not negotiable. If you have not completed the four weeks, we reschedule.
Eight weeks before
No chemical peels in the eight weeks before your SWiCH. If you have had a peel more recently than that, we will book you further out. This one catches people by surprise, so tell us at booking if you have had any peel work done recently, here or anywhere else.
We cannot treat you if
- You are pregnant, nursing, or trying to conceive
- You have taken Accutane in the last six to twelve months
- You are currently taking antibiotics
- You have used glycolic acid or Retin A within four weeks
- You have had a chemical peel within eight weeks
- You have a citric or aspirin allergy
That last one matters more than people expect. Tell us about any salicylate or aspirin sensitivity when you book, not when you are in the chair.
Before your appointment
This is a standalone service. It cannot be combined with anything else the same day. No wax, no other facial, no lash, no nails, no massage. Book it alone.
No sun exposure or tanning beds for two weeks before. No spray tan for one week.
No waxing, threading, laser, or dermaplaning on the face for seven days.
Tell us about cold sore history or any active skin condition.
Come with clean skin and no makeup.
After your appointment
Do not pick or pull at any flaking. Let it release on its own.
SPF every day once your esthetician clears you to apply it.
First 72 hours, avoid: workouts, sweating, saunas, steam, hot tubs, pools, and hot showers on your face.
No retinoids or acids for at least two weeks, and check with your esthetician before restarting.
Follow your home care instructions exactly. Your esthetician will walk you through what to use and when at the end of your appointment. Do not substitute products from your own shelf during the recovery window.
Your home care through the series
Circadia Vitamin C Reversal Serum and Light Day Sunscreen SPF 37, every day, for the whole run of your SWiCH series, with Nighttime Repair at night.
Hannah goes over the exact products with you at your visit, so treat this as the shape of it rather than the final list.
Your first three days of aftercare come with the treatment. For the months of the series that follow, these are Circadia products, and you can order them direct from Circadia.
Your Raspberry Enzyme at day 14
Two weeks after each SWiCH, you come back for a Raspberry Enzyme facial. This is part of the protocol, not an upsell.
The enzyme works with your skin while it is still in its renewal phase, keeps the barrier calm, and carries the result through to your next SWiCH. Skipping it means you get less out of the treatment you already paid for.
So your rhythm looks like this
- Week 0: SWiCH
- Week 2: Raspberry Enzyme
- Week 4: SWiCH
- Week 6: Raspberry Enzyme
and so on through the series. Book both at once so the timing does not slip.
Results
Brighter, smoother, more even skin within three to five days. Light flaking is possible and normal.
A full series is six SWiCH treatments spaced four weeks apart, with a Raspberry Enzyme between each. That is what the protocol is built around, and it is where the real change in tone and texture comes from.
